How often should I service my instrument?

Services should be carried out every 18-months to 2 years.
How long will a service take?
A service on a well looked after instrument takes no longer than a week. If it becomes apparent during the service that additional work is required the client will be contacted and the repair discussed before further work is undertaken.
A service has a 3-month warranty.

Can quick fixes be dealt with while you wait?
​
No, the flute will probably have to be left with me for a couple of days for repairs and testing.
When should I have an overhaul?
An overhaul is probably a once in a lifetime procedure and will take approximately two weeks. This service will return the instrument to a condition which will be as near to new as possible.
An overhaul has a 3-month warranty.
Can I send you my instrument by post?

Can I borrow an instrument to practice when you are servicing mine?

Yes, if I have a suitable instrument available.

Can I hire an instrument from you but have lessons elsewhere?
